Weekend Weather: Spring arrives Saturday, but cool weather remains

The first day of spring officially kicks off this weekend (Saturday), but it sure will feel more like winter here in Coweta County.
The National Weather Service is expecting high temperatures of 60 today, 56 on Saturday and 61 on Sunday with gusty North winds around 10 mph each day. Overnight lows will be near 40.
A slight chance of rain – 10 percent today and 20 percent tonight – are the only chances for precipitation in the weekend’s forecast.
Temperatures will begin to rise on Monday with a high forecast at 68.

FRIDAY – A 10 percent chance of showers after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 60. North wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
FRIDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers before 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 38. Northeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 56. East wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 39. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph.
SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 61. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
SUNDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 42.
MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 68.
