Labor Day Forecast: Sunny, mostly dry through holiday weekend

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect mostly sunny skies and a very little chance of rain over the Labor Day Holiday here in Coweta County.

Friday will be the warmest day of the three-day weekend with a high forecast to be near 93 with heat index values at 97 degrees. Saturday cools slightly with a high near 89.

Some clouds roll in on Sunday dropping the high to only 85 and a 20 percent rain chance appears in the forecast. And on Labor Day, about the same as Sunday with a high of 86 and a 20 percent rain chance.

Lows will be 70 on Friday night, then 68 on Saturday night and 65 overnight Sunday.

FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 93. Heat index values as high as 97. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. North wind around 5 mph.

SATURDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. North wind around 5 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 68. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

SUNDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers after 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 85. East wind around 5 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 65.

LABOR DAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86.

MONDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 66.
