Mr. Personality: Happenings in downtown Newnan
By Mr. Personality, Special to The Paper
July, the month for fireworks, parades, barbecues and pool parties.
June 7th was indeed a busy day for the Courthouse Square with the summer Wined Up in full swing, complete with a large crowd of happy people.
The Greenville Street Park also had a large crowd that night due to the amazing event “Jazz in the Park” with a most beautiful band with great music. I was delighted to find Mrs. Bette Hickman right smack in the middle of the park wearing a most colorful outfit that always compliments her sparkling personality.
The treasure of the month for the Courthouse Square, the best kept secret in all of Georgia, is B. Young Beauty Studio and Spa located at 5 Jackson Street.
Mrs. Young has a team of well trained and talented artists that are courteous and highly professional and dedicate to making you look your very best for any occasion.
B. Young also provides a wedding planning service complete with a bridal team that is dedicated to making your dream wedding a reality. Be sure to call 770-683-0704 for an appointment today.
On June 13th I had the owner of Monarch House, Victor Young, and his most beautiful events coordinator, Dez Ross, as guests on my radio show that airs on WQEE 99.1 FM each Thursday at 9:30 a.m.
I just love the Monarch House, an assisted living facility located at 299 Bullsboro Dr. If you would like more information about the Monarch House, you can reach Dez Ross at 404-452-4442.
Congratulations to Sheriff Lenn Wood on being elected sheriff of Coweta County. May you and your office be blessed by Divine Spirit.
After July 4th, Cristy’s Cafe will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. They will be open from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday through Sunday.
Congratulations to Susan Crutchfield, newly appointed director of the Carnegie Library located at 1 LaGrange St. She is indeed a most wonderful personality and will be a great asset and director for the Carnegie as well.
Best wishes to Amy Mapel, the former director, whom I shall miss very much.
I welcome questions and comments and letters from my readers. All of me letters are indeed spiritual love letters that express my heart and mind and are therefore extremely intense and personal.
Each letter is written as if it is my last day on earth. Life is too short and precious for me to do otherwise.
