Mr. Personality: January happenings in Downtown Newnan
By Mr. Personality, Special to The Paper
January, the first month of a brand new year. May the year 2020 be a fresh new start in the minds and hearts of everyone bringing in abundance of joy and goodwill to all.
The treasure of the month for the Courthouse Square, the best kept secret in all of Georgia, is Christy’s Cafe, located on 27 Jackson St. Christy’s has homestyle cooked meals that are indeed tasty and downright yummy.
Be sure to check out the amazing art gallery there as well. It is very bright and vibrant, all painted by local talented artists. This art gallery at Christy’s needs to be experienced for yourself. You can call Christy’s at 770-683-7512. Be sure to tell her you read about it in “The Paper.”
Speaking of “The Paper,” I am so very blessed to have a small part in such a positive and fun-filled advertisement that is truly well written and informative. It’s the brainchild of John Winters, who’s been in the newspaper business for almost 40 years. Pick up a copy of “The Paper” and see for yourself. It is the best paper in town – plus it is free.
The shopping around the Courthouse Square is indeed very festive this time of year. I love the sights, sounds and smells of the holidays and I add to that happy mix by blowing bubbles at every opportunity I get. Nothing says festive fun like bubbles.
You may have noticed I am wearing Christmas colors in my beard thanks to B. Young Studio and Spa and of course my color specialist, the talented Shannon. B. Young is located at 5 Jackson St., 770-685-0704. Keep watching my beard change colors every so often.
I am starting out the new year with great excitement and enthusiasm as I continue seeking guests for my Mr. personality Newnan Goodwill Ambassador Radio Show that airs each Thursday at 9:30 a.m. on WQEE 99.1 FM. If you would like to be a guest on my show, call Ryan ONeal at 678-673-6318 or you can call me at 813-707-4194.
Keep in mind that you can order my Mr. Personality cookies in my image complete with my beard that is now red and green from Bolton’s Bakery, located on 13 East Broad St. Or simply call 678-673-6680 to place your order.
You can still find my book “Personality Matters” at Gillyweeds, The Hug Box and Southern Fried Books. There are 12 books left as I gave out 17 of them as Christmas gifts and yes I paid full price as I cannot ask you to pay more for the same book than I do.
On Dec. 20 and 21 I attended the Southern Arc Dance performance of “The Nutcracker” at the Wadsworth Auditorium. Paulo Manso De Sousa, company and staff are always simply amazing. Thank you everyone for a most beautiful performance and I shall look forward to next year’s.
My New Year’s resolution is to commit to living life to the very fullest. I shall share my joy and spiritual love. I will shout sing and laugh out loud. I will dance in the street and converse with everyone I meet. I will wear funny clothes , I will simply have run at every opportunity to do so. Thank you Newnan for embracing me over the past seven years day after day.
Love, peace and respect,
