September, the month for the Kiwanis Fair, football, academic studying and other fall activities.

I celebrated my sixty-ninth birthday on August 5, with my good friend Todd Rivers and his very talented family. I had a great birthday, yes indeed.

The treasure of the month for the Courthouse Square, the best kept secret in all of Georgia, is Newnan Mercantile and Ellie Mack Boutique, located at 15 North Court Square. They are two stores in one location.

Rachel Kuehl is the owner of Newnan Mercantile. She offers the latest in farmhouse decor. Katie Capshaw is the owner of the Ellie Mack Boutique and she has a large variety of women’s clothing that is very unique. Come see for yourself and tell them you read about them in “The Paper.”

Christy’s Cafe is now open Monday through Sunday, one of the best places in town for breakfast or lunch. I suggest the Mom’s Omelet, my favorite breakfast meal. Christy is located at 27 Jackson Street and you can call 770-683-7512 for food to go.

My Book, “Personality Matters,” can now be ordered online from Barnes & Nobles. How cool is that? Speaking of cool, you can tune in to WQEE 99.1 FM and catch my radio show every Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Be sure to call in at 678-673-6318 and play “Ask Mr. Personality” if you have any questions or comments for me.

I also have guests on my radio show. Give me or Ryan O’Neal a call if you would like to be my guest. In the meantime, I can often be found on the Square at New Beginnings, The Hug Box, Cookie Barr, Christy’s Cafe, Gillyweeds, Let them Eat Toffee, Deals 4 Dollars, Southern Charm, Leaf and Bean and the Carnegie Library just to name a few of my hangouts. Should I not be at any of those places, I am probably somewhere else such as Bolton’s Bakery, One Divine Design or Wildwood Trader.

We have a new kid in town. Dunc’s BBQ Kitchen, located at 98 Jackson St. I had the ribs and the fried green tomatoes on the first visit and the fried dill pickles and a salad on my second visit. The food is good, the people are friendly and yes, I will be going back.

I am also sure I am being entertained by angels as I am always in such a heavenly state of euphoria as I am surrounded by such magnificent personalities that are such a joy to be around. I have never felt so loved or so very blessed as I do since coming to Newnan. I have a deep sense of intimacy and love with everyone I meet and this experience keeps increasing in scope and in intensity.
