Weather Week in Coweta: Rain, Sun dot the forecast

It will be all about rain and sunshine during the work week here in Coweta County, according to the National Weather Service.

Mostly cloudy today and Tuesday with a 30 percent rain chance today and 90 percent tomorrow. Then sunny skies move in for Wednesday and Thursday before another front with rain arrives on Friday.

High temperatures will be in the high 50s-low 60s while the lows will vary from mid-30s to near 55.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (as of 7 a.m. Monday) from NWS:

MONDAY – Patchy drizzle with a chance of showers before 3pm, then a slight chance of showers after 3pm. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, cloudy, with a high near 58. Southeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

TUESDAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before 5pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 5pm. High near 66. South wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 55. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 62.

FRIDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Cloudy, with a high near 64. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
