Thursday Daily Status Report: Coweta adds 12 new cases, 1 death

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Thursday, June 11.

Coweta County increased by 12 new cases of COVID-19 and 1 death today, but added no hospitalizations. The death was of a 78-year-old female. Coweta has had 25 cases since Monday. Overall, Coweta now has a cumulative 488 cases, 11 deaths and 54 hospitalizations.

The deaths by gender, age and if underlying condition existed among Coweta County residents:

A discrepancy does exist between the two state generated reports – Daily Status Report and Long-Term Care Facility Report – regarding deaths in Coweta. Five of the 10 resident deaths at Newnan Health and Rehabilitation have not  been listed on the Daily Status Report by the GA DPH. If and/or when they are moved to that listing, Coweta County will have 16 overall deaths due to COVID-19. The Long-Term Care Facility Report is a product of the Georgia Department of Community Health.

Georgia increased by 731 new cases today, including 44 deaths, 102 hospitalizations and 31 ICU admits.

In the last two days combined (Wednesday and Thursday), Georgia has had 1724 cases, 90 deaths, 201 hospitalized and 46 to ICU.

Overall, Georgia now has a cumulative total of 54,973 cases, 2375 deaths, 9073 hospitalized and 2006 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered now stands at 687,127 though 108,194 (about 16 percent) of that total are antibody tests.
