Weekend Weather in Coweta: Rain today, clearing and cooler Saturday

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect rain today and cooler temperatures on Saturday.
This afternoon and into the evening, isolated thunderstorms will move over north and central Georgia ahead of a cold front. Rain chances are 60 percent this afternoon and 80 percent tonight with winds gusting as high as 20 mph. The overnight low will be about 41 degrees.
The cold front moves through and sunny skies return on Saturday with a high of only 63 degrees and north winds at 10-15 mph, gusting to 20. The low Saturday night will be near 40.
On Sunday, it is a little warmer with a high of 72 under partly sunny skies.

FRIDAY – A chance of showers before 3pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 3pm and 4pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 68. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
FRIDAY NIGHT – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 10pm, then a chance of showers between 10pm and midnight. Low around 41. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 63. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 40. Calm wind.
SUNDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.
SUNDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 47.
