Update – Tuesday Evening Report: Coweta cases remain at 243

UPDATE (6:25 p.m.) – Today’s second Daily Status Report has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Tuesday, May 5.

This report indicates 29,839 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia (an increase of 279 from today’s midday report) and 1294 deaths (an increase of 36 from earlier today).

In Coweta County, the number of new cases remained unchanged at 243 as well as the 4 deaths. The hospitalizations increased by 1 to now total 39. Since midday Friday, Coweta has reported 48 new cases.

Adding the Georgia totals for today (Tuesday) only, there’s 402 new cases, 51 deaths, 117 people hospitalized, and 33 admitted to ICU.

In the last two days (Monday and Tuesday), Georgia has had 1168 new cases, 113 deaths and 247 folks hospitalized.
