Monday: Coweta adds dozen new cases of COVID-19

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Monday, Nov. 2.

COWETA COUNTY CASES

Coweta County confirmed 12 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday including 0 deaths and 0 hospitalizations. Of the dozen cases, the age group of 55-64 years old had 3 cases which was the highest among all groups.

To date, Coweta has registered cumulative totals of 3030 cases, 63 deaths and 152 hospitalizations. The overall positive test rate is 7.9 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 7.4 percent.

Single-day highs now for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (66 on Aug. 26); deaths (4 on Aug. 13); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).

GEORGIA CASES

In Georgia on Monday, the state confirmed 939 cases (down 253 from Sunday’s totals), 18 deaths, 15 hospitalizations and 2 ICU admits. It is the 79th consecutive day the state has been below 3,000 cases in a day.

Presently, there are 1,424 people in Georgia hospitalized with COVID, up 19 from Sunday’s total.

Overall, Georgia has recorded cumulative totals of 362,921 cases, 7999 deaths, 31,735 hospitalizations and 5963 ICU admits. The overall positive test rate is 9.4 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 7.1 percent.

Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,813 on July 24); deaths (122 on Aug. 11); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (97 on Aug. 12).
