Update – Wednesday Evening Report: Coweta rises to 247 cases

UPDATE (6:25 p.m.) – Today’s second Daily Status Report has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Wednesday, May 6.

This report indicates 30,737 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Georgia (an increase of 175 from Wednesday’s midday report) and 1317 deaths (an increase of 12 from earlier today).

In Coweta County, the number of new cases rose by 2 since the midday report and now totals 247. The 4 deaths and 39 hospitalizations remain unchanged. Since midday Friday, Coweta has reported 52 new cases.

Adding the Georgia totals for today (Wednesday) only, there’s 898 new cases, 23 deaths, 131 people hospitalized, 32 admitted to ICU.

In the last two days combined (Tuesday and Wednesday), Georgia has had 1300 new cases, 74 deaths and 248 folks hospitalized.
