Weather: Cold weekend forecast for Coweta County

The best way to describe this weekend’s weather forecast in Coweta County is simply “cold.”

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect high temperatures not to reach 50 degrees and overnight lows to be in the mid-20s. At 8:15 this morning, the conditions at the Newnan-Coweta County Airport were a temperature of 31 degrees with a North wind at 8 mph, making the Wind Chill feel like 24.

Today, Coweta County residents will have cloudy skies with a high near 39 degrees. A Northeast wind from 5-10 mph will keep the Wind Chill close to freezing. Tonight’s low will be 26.

Sunshine returns on both Saturday and Sunday with the high temperatures expected to be 45 and 48, respectively. Overnight lows again will dip to 24 on Saturday evening and 27 Sunday.

The high temperature finally gets above the 50-mark on Monday with a forecast of 53 degrees and sunny.

SUNDAY – Sunny, with a high near 48. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 53.
