Weather: Cool temperatures this weekend, rain possible Sunday

After flirting with near 70-degree temperatures earlier in the week, some winter normalcy returns to Coweta County this weekend.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect high temperatures this weekend to be 56 degrees today, 61 on Saturday and 58 on Sunday. That’s a bit different than the high of 70 degrees on Tuesday and 69 on Wednesday earlier this week. This morning, it’s 36 degrees at 7:55 at the Newnan-Coweta Airport weather station.
Overnight lows will be 34 tonight, 43 on Saturday night and 42 Sunday.
Folks can expect mostly sunny skies today and Saturday, but a rain chance of 50 percent arrives on Sunday under mostly cloudy skies.
The work week will return on Monday to mostly sunny skies and a high near 55.
