Weather: Hot, but less humid over the weekend in Coweta

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect less humidity over the weekend here in Coweta County but highs near 90 will remain.

Starting with today, NWS forecasts not as much rain in the area as Thursday, but there does remain a 50 percent precipitation chance this afternoon. Look for partly sunny skies with a high near 87.

Saturday and Sunday looks to be not as humid under mostly sunny skies and only 30 percent rain chances listed for the afternoons. Highs both days will be near 90 degrees. 

Overnight lows tonight through the weekend will be around 70.

Rain chances bump up slightly to 40 percent on Monday with a high of 90.

FRIDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

FRIDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. South wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 89. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph.

SUNDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph.

MONDAY– A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90.
