Weather: Mild Halloween weekend with rain moving in late Saturday

This Halloween weekend will be mild and dry on both the front and back ends, and wet in the middle, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Today will be the best weather day of the weekend with mostly sunny skies and a high near 69 degrees. It will be breezy at times with an East wind at 5-10 mph, gusting to 20.

On Saturday, clouds begin moving in as a warm front approaches from the Southwest. The high temperature on Saturday will be near 66, again with East winds at 5-10 with gusts to 15. A slight rain chance of 10 percent will be after 5 p.m., then increasing to 50 percent mainly after 8 p.m.

Then Sunday, the warm front pushes through the area bringing with it a 70 percent rain chance and a high temperature of 66. Rain chances drop to 40 percent overnight Sunday.

And on Halloween, Coweta County can expect a 20 percent rain chance mainly before lunch with partly sunny skies later in the day and a high of 71. Halloween night looks good for the local trick-or-treaters with partly cloudy skies and an overnight low of 51.

Overnight lows throughout the weekend will remain in the 50s.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 51. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY – A 10 percent chance of showers after 5pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. East wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – A 50 percent chance of showers, mainly after 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. East wind 5 to 10 mph.

SUNDAY – Showers likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 66. Southeast wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

HALLOWEEN – A 20 percent chance of showers before 2pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 71.
