Weather Week in Coweta: Rain and cool temperatures dot the forecast

Rain and cool temperatures are on the agenda this week in Coweta County, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
Rain chances range from 100% today, to 90% Tuesday, 70% Wednesday and 50% on Thursday. Then add highs near 50 degrees and lows in the 40s, it makes for a cool, damp week.
Sunshine is expected to return with clear skies on Friday as the lows will drop into the 30s.
Below is the day-by-day forecast by NWS:
MONDAY – Showers. Patchy dense fog between 1and 2pm. High near 51. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. New precipitation amounts between 1 and 2 inches possible.
TUESDAY – Showers, mainly before 5pm. Patchy dense fog before 11am. High near 53. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
WEDNESDAY – Rain likely, mainly after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 49. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
THURSDAY – A 50 percent chance of rain, mainly before 1pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 47.
FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 54.
