Weather: Warmer temperatures but rain moves in Wednesday

Coweta County will see high temperatures in the 60s for much of the upcoming work week but rain moves back into the forecast on Wednesday.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says Monday will likely be the only day of the week under mostly sunny skies. Monday’s high will be 60 degrees with an overnight low of 41.

A slight chance (20%) of rain could occur early Tuesday under partly sunny skies and a high of 65.

Then on Wednesday, a rain event begins with chances at 40 percent that afternoon, 60 percent overnight,  then 80 percent Thursday and 70 percent on Friday. Highs will be 62 on Wednesday, 65 on Thursday and 58 on Friday.

Temperatures begin to drop on Saturday with a high of 48 expected.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 60. Southeast wind 5 to 10 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 41. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

TUESDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers before 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 65. East wind around 5 mph becoming calm.

TUESDAY NIGHT – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 48. Calm wind.

WEDNESDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 62. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

THURSDAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 65. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

FRIDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8am, then a chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 58. Chance of precipitation is 70%.

SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 48.
