Weather Week in Coweta: Mostly sunny, highs near 70 degrees

A true week of spring weather is in the forecast for Coweta County, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
After an Easter night of strong storms which moved through the area, skies have cleared and mostly sunny skies are expected today with a high near 73 degrees. A Wind Advisory, which was to expire at 6 a.m., has been extended to 10 a.m. as winds will be from the southwest at 10-20 mph with gusts to 35.
Otherwise, high temperatures return to seasonal normals this week and will be near 70 degrees. A 30 percent rain chance late Tuesday and early Wednesday is the only time rain appears in the forecast for the work week.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 73. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
MONDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 46. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 72. North wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
WEDNESDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms before 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 67. North wind around 5 mph.
THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 69.
FRIDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 73.
