Weather Week in Coweta: Hot early, cooler temps by Thursday

The extended heat wave here in Coweta County will continue early this work week, but cooler temperatures appear in Thursday’s and Friday’s forecast, according to the National Weather Service.

The National Weather Service says to expect near record-highs of 95 and 96 degrees today and Tuesday, with temperatures dropping to a high of 84 on Thursday.

Little or no chance of rain is expected.

Below is the day-by-day look from the NWS.

MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 95. Light and variable wind becoming north 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon.

TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 96. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 84.

FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 85.
