Weather: Rain continues today, Tuesday in Coweta

An approaching cold front will keep rain in the forecast for Coweta County for Monday and Tuesday before a more summer-like pattern moves in, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
A 60 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is likely after 4 p.m. today, then jumps to 90 percent on Tuesday as the cold front pushes through. The high today will be 84 degrees, and only 78 on Tuesday.
Drier conditions move in Wednesday as a normal summer weather pattern takes over. Rain chances are listed at 30 percent for Wednesday, Thursday and Friday – mainly in the afternoon. Highs will be in the lower 80s.

New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
TUESDAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 78. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between three quarters and one inch possible.
TUESDAY NIGHT – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 63. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
