Weather Week in Coweta County: Heat Wave moves in through Weekend

Summer is officially about a month away, but you wouldn’t know it based off this work-week forecast for Coweta County.
According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, a high pressure system has parked over the southeastern United States and thus a small heat wave will be taking place as high temperatures will be in the mid-to-upper 90s by Memorial Day Weekend.
The only chance of rain is minimal – 20% today. Otherwise, look for sunny skies with highs in the lower 90s.

TODAY – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 7am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the morning.
TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 92.
FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 94.
