Weather Week in Coweta County: Rain moves in Monday, moves out Friday

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect a four-day rain event here in Newnan and Coweta County this week.
Showers, with a possible thunderstorm, move in at midday here locally with a high near 60 degrees and rain chances at 90 percent.
Rain chances are listed at 80% for Tuesday, 100% for Wednesday and 50% for Thursday. Rain moves out on Friday and a dry weekend is expected with highs near 60 and sunny skies.
Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from the National Weather Service:
MONDAY – Showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 2pm. High near 60. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
MONDAY NIGHT – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 3am, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 4am. Cloudy, with a low around 55. South wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
TUESDAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. High near 68. Southwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
WEDNESDAY – Showers. High near 56. Northeast wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%.
THURSDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 54.
FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 58.
