Weather Week in Coweta: Sunny through Thursday, Rain on Friday

The strong cold front which moved through Coweta County on Sunday has set the stage for a pleasant start to the work week.
Sunny skies are forecast by the National Weather Service in Peachtree City through Thursday with a slight chance of rain on Thursday, and an 80 percent rain chance on Friday.
Temperatures will start out mild today – high of 67 – then gradually move to near 80 degrees on Wednesday and Thursday.
Below is the day-by-day forecast (as of 10 a.m. today) for the upcoming week from the National Weather Service:
TODAY – Sunny, with a high near 67. Northwest wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 77. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 79. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
THURSDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 81.
FRIDAY – Showers and thunderstorms before 9am, then a chance of showers. High near 71. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
