Weather Week in Coweta: Highs reach 80 beginning Wednesday

After a cool start to the work week here in Coweta County, the National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect highs to reach the 80s by Wednesday.

Folks can expect sunny skies all week with gusty winds on Monday. In fact, Monday’s high will be near 68 degrees and the overnight low around 43.

Things begin to warm up on Tuesday with a high of 74. Then temperatures climb into the 80s beginning on Wednesday. Look for highs of 81 on Wednesday, 83 on Thursday and 85 on Friday.

As of Monday morning, the National Weather Service is giving the only rain chance of the week on Sunday.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from NWS:

MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 68. Northwest wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT – Mostly clear, with a low around 43. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

TUESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 74. Northeast wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the afternoon.

WEDNESDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 81. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.

THURSDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 83.

FRIDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 85.
