Weather Week: Expect great weather for Thanksgiving

Most of Thanksgiving week here in Coweta County will be sunny and mild, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Following a mostly sunny Monday, a brief rain chance appears overnight then look for plenty of sunshine for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Thanksgiving, the forecast calls for clear and sunny skies with a high near 59 degrees. Highs for most of the week will be mid-50s, lows in the mid-30s.

Rain chances increase to 40 percent on Friday. Below is the day-by-day forecast from the NWS:

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 65. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

TUESDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers before 8am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 56. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 55. North wind around 5 mph.

THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 59.

FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 51.
