Weather Week in Coweta: Hot with possible afternoon showers, thunderstorms

The first week of school here in Coweta County will have the usual summer pattern of weather – hot with a chance of an afternoon shower.
The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says high temperatures will range from 86 degrees today to the low 90s from Wednesday through Friday. Rain chances will be 30% to 40% all week.
Below is the day-by-day forecast from the NWS:
MONDAY – A slight chance of showers, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
TUESDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 4pm. Patchy fog before 10am. Otherwise, mostly sunny, with a high near 88. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.
WEDNESDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 90. West wind around 5 mph.
THURSDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 9am. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.
FRIDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9am. Partly sunny, with a high near 91.
