Weather Week in Coweta: Rain stays in the forecast through Saturday

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect rain in the Coweta County forecast each day of the week through Saturday.
A warm front will lift northward today and stall over north and central Georgia. As a result, showers and thunderstorms will persist into Saturday. Flooding concerns and downed trees could be an issue with the saturated soil.
High temperatures will be spring-like – around 70 degrees through Thursday. Lows will be in the 60s.
Here’s the day-by-day forecast (as of 6 a.m. Monday, subject to change) from the NWS:
MONDAY – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Widespread dense fog before 10am. High near 69. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.
MONDAY NIGHT – Showers and thunderstorms likely before 8pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm between 8pm and 2am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2am. Cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
TUESDAY – A chance of showers before 11am, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between 11am and noon, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 70. South wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
TUESDAY NIGHT – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 8pm, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 8pm. Cloudy, with a low around 62. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
WEDNESDAY – A chance of showers and thunderstorms before 8am, then a chance of showers between 8am and 2pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
THURSDAY – Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
FRIDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers, mainly after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 61.
