Weather Week in Coweta: Rain and cooler early, then sun and highs near 90

Rain and cooler early in the week, dry and temperatures in the 90s later in the week. That’s the summation of the work week here in Coweta County beginning today.
Look for mostly cloudy skies today with a high of 82 degrees, the second consecutive day high temps have stayed near 80. Rain chances move from 40 percent during the day to 60 percent tonight and Tuesday.
The rain moves out by Wednesday afternoon with highs back at near 90 degrees. Then mostly sunny skies are in the forecast Thursday and Friday with highs staying at 90 degrees.

MONDAY – A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82. East wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
TUESDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before noon, then a chance of showers and thunderstorms between noon and 2pm, then showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. South wind around 5 mph becoming southwest in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
WEDNESDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 89. Northwest wind around 5 mph.
THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 89.
FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 91.
