From Staff Reports

The summer-like heat which entered Coweta’s weather pattern last week will continue through at least Friday, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

A strong high pressure system continues to sit over Georgia and the southeast U.S. keeping the above-average high temperatures in place with little chance for rain.

Highs are expected to remain in the lower 90s through Friday with overnight lows in the upper 60s.

The first chance of rain enters the forecast on Friday and is listed at 20 percent. It does increase to 40 percent on Saturday as the high temperature falls slightly to the upper 80s.
