Weather Week in Coweta: Rain Tuesday, Lows in the 40s on Thursday

Well folks, it’s actually going to finally feel like autumn this week in Coweta County.

According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, a cold front will pass through bringing much-needed rain to the area Tuesday. And on Wednesday as the front pushes through, northwest winds will help kick the lows overnight Wednesday into Thursday morning down to 44 degrees.

Below is the day-by-day forecast from NWS:

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 78. Calm wind becoming northwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

TUESDAY – A chance of showers, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 9am. High near 69. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

WEDNESDAY – Showers likely, mainly before 8am. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 74. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.

THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 69.

FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 73.
