Weather Week in Coweta: Rain chances increase Tuesday

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City is giving at least a 60 percent rain chance beginning Tuesday through Friday.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are forecast Tuesday and each day following until the weekend. A few storms may be strong to briefly severe.
Folks can expect the string of 90-degree high temperatures to end on Tuesday as skies become partly sunny to mostly cloudy. That should drop high temperatures to the mid-to-upper 80s.
Monday’s high is expected to be near 93 degrees with the heat index value around 98. Highs for the remainder of the week include 88 on Tuesday, 84 Wednesday, 86 on Thursday and 87 on Friday.
Lows will be near 71 degrees.

TUESDAY NIGHT – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Southwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
WEDNESDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly after 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 84. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
THURSDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 86. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
FRIDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
