Weather Week: Mostly sunny, cooler temperatures move in

After the first dry weekend in over a month, the sunshine continues for most of this work week according to the National Weather Service.
A cold front will move through Tuesday which will bring a slight chance of rain in the morning, but much cooler temps and breezy conditions. In fact, expect winds beginning Tuesday evening to gust as high as 20 mph, and up to 25 on Wednesday.
Once the cold front is through the area, expect highs in the 40s and lows in the upper 20s.
And guess what, rain moves back into the area’s forecast on Saturday.
Below is the day-by-day forecast (as of 7 a.m. Monday) from the NWS.
TODAY – Sunny, with a high near 66. Calm wind becoming south around 5 mph in the afternoon.
TUESDAY – A slight chance of showers between 9am and noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 65. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 50. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.
THURSDAY – Sunny, with a high near 46.
FRIDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 49.
