Wednesday Daily Status Report: Coweta adds 17 cases, 1 death, 1 hospitalization

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Wednesday, July 1.

Today, Coweta County added 17 new cases of COVID-19 including 1 death and 1 hospitalization. The death was of a 90-plus-year-old female. In the past week, Coweta has posted 85 cases, 1 death and 6 hospitalizations.

Overall, Coweta County stands with cumulative totals of 684 cases, 16 deaths and 61 hospitalizations.

Coweta County’s single-day highs are as follows: cases – 45 (May 25); deaths – 3 (May 21); and hospitalizations – 6 (May 12).

Statewide today, Georgia set a single-day high for cases with 2,946. That mark broke the previous high of 2,225 set on June 28. Other Wednesday numbers included 22 deaths, 224 hospitalizations and 34 ICU admits. It was the 12th time in the past 13 days the state has eclipsed the 1,000-case mark in a single day.

The cumulative totals for Georgia – 84,237 cases, 2827 deaths, 11,275 hospitalizations, 2357 ICU admits. Tests given – 1,013,009.
