July 4th Weekend Forecast: Hot with afternoon thunderstorms possible

The usual summertime pattern of hot afternoons with the possibility of pop-up showers and thunderstorms will be in play this July 4th Weekend here in Coweta.
According to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City, Highs will be 92 on Friday, 91 on Saturday (Independence Day) and 87 on Sunday as rain chances increase. Lows each day will be near 70 degrees.
A 30 percent chance of those pop-up showers and thunderstorms are forecast for Friday and Saturday, then increases to 60 percent on Sunday.

FRIDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 3pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 92. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
FRIDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 7pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 70. Calm wind.
SATURDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly after 2pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph in the afternoon.
SATURDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms, mainly before 8pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 71. Calm wind.
SUNDAY – Showers and thunderstorms likely after 8am. Partly sunny, with a high near 87. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 60%.
SUNDAY NIGHT – A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 70.
