Weekend Weather: Temperatures in 70s on Saturday, Sunday

More spring-like temperatures are expected over the weekend here in Coweta County, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

The forecast high for Saturday will be 73 degrees and on Sunday 77 under partly sunny to mostly cloudy skies. South wind will be from 5-10 mph both days.

A 50 percent rain chance kicks off the weekend today with a slightly cooler high temperature of 64. Rain chances drop to 20 percent tonight with an overnight low of 57.

Rain chances do not return to the weekend forecast until Sunday (20%) and Sunday night (80%).

FRIDAY – A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 10am. Cloudy, with a high near 64. East wind 5 to 10 mph becoming south in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 50%.

FRIDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers before midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 57. East wind around 5 mph becoming south after midnight.

SATURDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 73. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Mostly cloudy, with a low around 59. South wind around 5 mph.

SUNDAY – A 20 percent chance of showers. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 77. South wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT – Showers and possibly a thunderstorm. Low around 57. Chance of precipitation is 80%.

MONDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm, then a chance of showers. Cloudy, with a high near 62. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
