Friday Daily Status Report: Coweta reports 11 new cases, now at 414

From Staff Reports
The 7 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Friday, May 29.
Today, Coweta County posted 11 new cases of COVID-19, but no deaths or hospitalizations. The cumulative total is now at 414 cases, 8 deaths and 51 hospitalizations. Since last Friday, Coweta has seen 110 new cases, 1 death and 1 hospitalized.
There remains a discrepancy in Coweta deaths between the Long-Term Care Report (provided by the GA Department of Community Health) and the Daily Status Report (from the GA Department of Public Health). The Long-Term Care Report has listed 4 deaths – since Wednesday – among the data for Newnan Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home, but only 2 of those have been transferred to the Daily Status Report. Coweta’s death totals should rise to 10 in a future DPH reporting cycle.
Statewide today, Georgia recorded 597 new cases with 11 deaths, 85 hospitalized and 11 admitted to ICU.
In the last two days combined (Thursday and Friday), Georgia has had 1225 cases, 51 deaths, 169 hospitalized and 36 to ICU.
Overall, Georgia now has a cumulative total of 45,863 cases, 1984 deaths, 7914 hospitalized and 1789 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered now stands at 532,007, though 81,736 of that total were antibody tests.
