Saturday Daily Status Report: Coweta now at 415 cases

The 7 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Saturday, May 30.
Today, Coweta County posted only one new case of COVID-19, and no deaths or hospitalizations. The cumulative total is now at 415 cases, 8 deaths and 51 hospitalizations.
There continues to be a discrepancy in Coweta deaths between the Long-Term Care Report (provided by the GA Department of Community Health) and the Daily Status Report (from the GA Department of Public Health). The Long-Term Care Report listed 4 deaths – since Wednesday – among the data for Newnan Health and Rehabilitation Nursing Home, but only 2 of those have been transferred to the Daily Status Report. Coweta’s death totals should rise to 10 in a future DPH reporting cycle.
Statewide today, Georgia recorded 468 new cases with 20 deaths, 13 hospitalized and 4 admitted to ICU.
In the last two days combined (Friday and Saturday), Georgia has had 1065 cases, 31 deaths, 98 hospitalized and 15 to ICU.
Overall, Georgia now has a cumulative total of 46,331 cases, 2004 deaths, 7927 hospitalized and 1793 ICU admits. The total number of tests administered now stands at 539,641, though 84,803 of that total were antibody tests.
