Saturday: Coweta adds 25 new cases of COVID-19

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Saturday, July 11.
Today, Coweta County posted 25 new cases of COVID-19 with deaths and hospitalizations unchanged. It’s the 11th time in the past 12 days Coweta has had 10-or-more new cases in a single day. In fact, Coweta has registered 87 cases since Wednesday.
Coweta County’s cumulative totals include 881 cases, 16 deaths and 65 hospitalizations. Single-day highs for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (46 on July 3); deaths (3 on May 21); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).
Statewide today, Georgia dropped almost 1,300 cases from Friday’s record-setting 4,484 new cases. Georgia had 3,190 cases on Saturday, including 31 deaths, 268 hospitalizations and 45 ICU admits. It is the 20th consecutive day the state had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day.
Overall, Georgia has 114,401 cumulative cases, 2996 deaths, 13,205 hospitalizations and 2610 ICU admits. Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,484 on July 10); deaths (94 on April 20); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (46 on July 10).
