Thursday: Coweta rises by 11 new cases of COVID-19

The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Thursday, July 16.
Coweta County posted 11 new cases of COVID-19 on today’s Daily Status Report with no changes in deaths or hospitalizations. It’s the third consecutive day Coweta has had 10-or-more new cases.
Cumulative totals for Coweta now stand at 938 cases, 16 deaths and 68 hospitalizations.
Single-day highs for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (46 on July 3); deaths (3 on May 21); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).
Today statewide, new cases dropped slightly to 3,442 or about 400 less than Wednesday. In addition, Georgia registered 13 deaths, 244 hospitalizations and 34 ICU admits. It is the 25th consecutive day the state has had 1,000-or-more cases in a single day and the 9th time since July 1 with 3,000-or-more cases.
Overall, Georgia has 131,275 cumulative cases, 3104 deaths, 14,346 hospitalizations and 2736 ICU admits.
Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,484 on July 10); deaths (94 on April 20); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (46 on July 10).

Among Critical Care Beds in Georgia, 84 percent are in use (16 percent available).

The total of Adult Ventilators in Georgia is 2,794. Presently, 1,098 (39 percent) are in use and 1,706 (61 percent) are available.
