The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Tuesday, Nov. 3.

COWETA COUNTY CASES

Coweta County confirmed 8 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday with 0 deaths reported. Of the 8 cases, the age group of 45-54 years old had 4 cases which was the most of any group.

To date, Coweta has registered cumulative totals of 3038 cases and 63 deaths. The overall positive test rate is 7.9 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 7.4 percent.

Single-day highs now for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (66 on Aug. 26); deaths (4 on Aug. 13); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).

GEORGIA CASES

Across the state on Tuesday, Georgia confirmed 1668 cases (up 729 from Monday’s totals), 30 deaths, 158 hospitalizations (up 143 from  Monday) and 34 ICU admits (up 32 from Monday). It is the 80th consecutive day the state has been below of 3,000 cases in a day.

Presently, there are 1,424 people in Georgia hospitalized with COVID, which was no change from Monday.

Overall, Georgia has recorded cumulative totals of 364,589 cases, 8029 deaths, 31,893 hospitalizations and 5997 ICU admits. The overall positive test rate is 9.4 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 7.2 percent.

Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,813 on July 24); deaths (122 on Aug. 11); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (97 on Aug. 12).
