The 3 p.m. Daily Status Report of the COVID-19 pandemic has been issued by the Georgia Department of Public Health for Tuesday, Oct. 13.
COWETA COUNTY CASES
Coweta County confirmed 15 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday (up 12 from Monday’s totals) with no deaths and 1 hospitalization reported. So far in October, Coweta has recorded 147 cases for a daily average of 11.3.
To date, Coweta has registered cumulative totals of 2775 cases, 58 deaths and 140 hospitalizations. The overall positive test rate is 8.2 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 5.7 percent.

Single-day highs now for Coweta since the pandemic began in March follow: cases (66 on Aug. 26); deaths (4 on Aug. 13); and hospitalizations (6 on May 12).
GEORGIA CASES
Across Georgia on Tuesday, the state confirmed 993 cases (up 91 from Monday’s total), 25 deaths, 106 hospitalizations and 9 ICU admits. It’s the 24th consecutive day Georgia has been below 2,000 cases in a day, the 59th straight day below 3,000.
Presently, there are 1,330 people in Georgia hospitalized with COVID, up 78 from Monday.
Overall, Georgia has recorded cumulative totals of 333,304 cases, 7454 deaths, 29,762 hospitalizations and 5523 ICU admits. The overall positive test rate is 9.8 percent, and in the last two weeks, it’s 5.7 percent.
Georgia’s single-day highs follow: cases (4,813 on July 24); deaths (122 on Aug. 11); hospitalizations (506 on April 7); ICU admits (97 on Aug. 12).
