From Staff Reports

Following today’s 30 percent rain chance, the rest of the work week here in Coweta County should be warm and dry.

The National Weather Service says a front will push through the area this afternoon bringing the best chance (30 percent) of rain. Today will be mostly sunny with a high near 91 degrees.

Once the front moves through, less humid air and a northwest wind take over. Tuesday will be slightly cooler with a high of 88 but the noticeable difference will be a lower humidity and a Northwest wind of 5-10 mph, gusting to 15.

Much of the same goes for Wednesday and Thursday with sunny skies and highs of 85, and 89, respectively.

Overnight lows will be in the lower 60s.

The heat and humidity returns beginning Friday with a high near 91 and the first chance of rain appears on the forecast for Saturday.
