Weather: Plenty of sunshine, warm temperatures in Coweta forecast

The work week for Coweta County residents, weather-wise, will be filled with lots of sunshine and warm temperatures, according to the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Starting today, folks can expect sunny skies this afternoon with a high near 76 degrees. A slight East wind may keep some clouds around early but will clear out and be around 5-10 mph, gusting to 15. Tonight, nothing but clear skies are in the forecast with a low of 52.

Tuesday through Thursday will be almost identical with sunny skies and highs in the low 80s and overnight lows in the mid-to-upper 50s. East wind will be around 5 mph.

The first chance of rain in the week enters Friday at 20 percent but with mostly sunny skies and a high of 80.

And Saturday, rain chances are still around and are listed at 30 percent under mostly sunny skies and a high of 82.

MONDAY NIGHT –  Clear, with a low around 52. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

TUESDAY –  Sunny, with a high near 81. East wind around 5 mph.

TUESDAY NIGHT –  Clear, with a low around 55. Calm wind becoming east around 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY –  Sunny, with a high near 83. East wind around 5 mph.

THURSDAY –  Sunny, with a high near 82.

FRIDAY –  A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 80.

SATURDAY –  A 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly sunny, with a high near 82.
