Weather: Warm with rain chances increasing late Wednesday

Rain chances move into this week’s Coweta County forecast beginning Wednesday night says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Folks can expect mostly sunny to partly sunny skies today and Wednesday here locally with highs around 83 degrees both days. Tonight’s low will be 62.

A 20 percent rain chance is in Wednesday night’s forecast, increasing to 50 percent on Thursday and Friday and at 40 percent for Saturday.

High temperatures will be 85 on Thursday, 82 on Friday and 83 on Saturday with overnight lows later in the week in the mid-60s.

WEDNESDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 83. Southeast wind around 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Calm wind becoming southeast around 5 mph.

THURSDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 85. Southwest wind around 5 mph.

FRIDAY – A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 82.

SATURDAY – A 40 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms. Partly sunny, with a high near 83.
