Weather: Rain remains in weekly forecast

From Staff Reports
The typical summertime weather pattern has settled in with just a bit more moisture in the area, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.
That moisture equates to at least a 40 percent rain chance each day this week through Saturday. Scattered thunderstorms capable of producing locally heavy rainfall with gusty winds and frequent lightning are expected for much of the Coweta and Metro Atlanta each day. It’s not a washout forecast, just typical spotty afternoon showers and thunderstorms that go with the heat in the summer.
High temperatures will stay in the mid-to-upper 80s with overnight lows around 70 degrees.
