Weather: Spring-like temperatures, rain chances stick around

Spring-like temperatures will stick around again this work week in Coweta County, but so will much of the rainy pattern that’s been part of 2023.
Rain chances are listed at 40 percent today, 30 percent Wednesday and 70 percent both Thursday and Friday. The best day of the week will be Tuesday with sunny skies and a high of 76. A cold front will push through overnight Friday bringing sunny skies on Saturday but dropping the high to only 61.
High temperatures will remain in the 70s through Friday with overnight lows in the 50s and lower 60s.
Also today, the National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for most of North and North-Central Georgia beginning at 10 a.m. and ending at 7 p.m. this evening. Southwest winds are expected to be 15 to 25 mph with gusts up to 40. These gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects and knock down tree limbs. A few power outages may also result.

MONDAY – A chance of showers between 10am and 2pm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 75. Windy, with a southwest wind 10 to 15 mph increasing to 20 to 25 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 35 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.
MONDAY NIGHT – A 20 percent chance of showers between 8pm and 10pm. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 55. West wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 10 to 15 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 76. West wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
WEDNESDAY – A 30 percent chance of showers after 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 78. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.
THURSDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 76. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
FRIDAY – Showers likely and possibly a thunderstorm before 1pm. Partly sunny, with a high near 72. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
SATURDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 61.
