Weather Week in Coweta: Rain and sunshine

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City is tossing a mixed bag of forecasts at Coweta County this week with rain and sunshine both appearing.

After today’s 40 percent rain chance, sunny skies move in on Tuesday and Wednesday before more rain chances arrive on Thursday and Friday. Highs will be primarily around 50 degrees with lows mostly in the 30s.

Below is the day-by-day forecast of the NWS:

TODAY – A chance of rain before 1pm, then a chance of showers after 1pm. Cloudy, with a high near 45. Northwest wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 50. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 53. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon.

THURSDAY – A 30 percent chance of rain. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 55.

FRIDAY – Showers. High near 54. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
