Weather Week in Coweta: Sunny and Cool

This work week’s weather will feel drastically different than a week ago here in Coweta County, says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

After experiencing high temperatures in the 70s with lows in the 60s last week, a cold front moved through the area on Sunday dropping high temperatures at least 10 degrees and is expected to produce overnight lows in the 30s.

Sunny skies are in the forecast all week. The high temperature will be near 63 degrees on Monday and Tuesday, 60 on Wednesday, 61 on Thursday before some gradual warming to 69 on Friday. North to Northwest winds early in the week will be 5 to 10 mph, gusting to 15.

Overnight lows are expected to be 39 on Monday, 37 on Tuesday, 36 on Wednesday and 40 on Thursday.

Below is a day-by-day breakdown (subject to change) from the NWS:

MONDAY – Sunny, with a high near 63. North wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

MONDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 39. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

TUESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 63. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

WEDNESDAY – Sunny, with a high near 60. Northeast wind around 5 mph.

THURSDAY – Patchy frost before 7am. Otherwise, sunny, with a high near 61.

FRIDAY – Sunny, with a high near 69.
