Weather: Weekend mainly warm and dry; slight chance of rain Saturday

For the most part, this weekend’s weather forecast for Coweta County will be warm and mainly dry with only a 40 percent rain chance on Saturday.

The National Weather Service in Peachtree City says to expect sunny to mostly sunny skies today through Sunday with high temperatures ranging from 87 today to 86 on Saturday and 91 on Sunday.  A chance of showers or a possible thunderstorm is in the Saturday forecast after 1 p.m. That chance decreases to 30 percent before 8 p.m. on Saturday.

Overnight lows with be in the mid-to-upper 60s.

The high temperatures continue in the 90s on Monday and will be around all of next week. Forecast highs are 91 on Monday, 94 on Tuesday, 93 on Wednesday and 93 on Thursday.

FRIDAY NIGHT – A 10 percent chance of showers after 3am. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 65. Calm wind.

SATURDAY – A chance of showers, with thunderstorms also possible after 1pm. Mostly sunny, with a high near 86. Calm wind becoming southwest around 5 mph in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 40%.

SATURDAY NIGHT – A chance of thunderstorms before 8pm. Partly cloudy, with a low around 67. Calm wind. Chance of precipitation is 30%.

SUNDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 91. Calm wind becoming west around 5 mph in the afternoon.

MONDAY – Mostly sunny, with a high near 91.
