Weekend Weather in Coweta: Cooler, dry with temps in 30s Sunday night

With Tropical Storm Zeta gone, the weekend weather will settle down a bit with mostly dry conditions but cooler temperatures moving in says the National Weather Service in Peachtree City.

Friday’s forecast still calls for breezy conditions with winds from the North at 10-15 mph, gusting to 25. Mostly cloudy skies will give way to clearing later in the day with a high reaching only 63 degrees. Overnight, expect a low near 44.

On Saturday, sunny skies return and the winds drop to only 10 mph from the East. The high will be 64 and overnight low 50.

A strong cold front pushes through on Sunday bringing some of the coldest air of the season for Sunday night through Tuesday. The high Sunday will be 69 under partly sunny skies, then the front pushes through and will drop temperatures to near 36 degrees overnight.

The expected high on Monday will be 58 with an overnight low again around 36.

Below is the day-by-day forecast (subject to change) from the NWS:

FRIDAY – Mostly cloudy through mid morning, then gradual clearing, with a high near 63. North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 44. North wind 5 to 10 mph.

SATURDAY – Sunny, with a high near 64. East wind around 10 mph, with gusts as high as 15 mph.

SATURDAY NIGHT – Partly cloudy, with a low around 50. East wind around 5 mph.

SUNDAY – Partly sunny, with a high near 69. Light and variable wind becoming northwest 5 to 10 mph in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 15 mph.

SUNDAY NIGHT – Clear, with a low around 36.
